Steering tick when turning left, help

I have a 2001 1500 and every time i go to turn left i get a tick tick tick and it's really bothering me, i don't know to much about working on my truck but i'd like to learn. Can someone help me ?

From what I've heard, a tick when turning left is usually indicative of the u-joint on the axle on that side going out....if you have a 4x4 that is.

Exactly what Dodge dude said. Before I rebuilt my whole front end I would get a tick everytime I turned and like he said its because of an axle u-joint. But yeah if you have a 4x4 thats why. If you have someone replace the u-joint have the check the ball joints too. Sometimes they like to go out at they same time.
