I'm just curious. Has anyone else noticed that our steering wheels aren't centered on the dash? They seem to be shifted to the left about a half inch or so. No big deal and there's nothing you can do, but my OCD keeps reminding me every once and a while!...lol.

Actually I think the dash is what is out of alignment. The wheel is right, the rest of the truck is wrong!!!

You mean the gap between the wheel and the dash trim is larger on one side vs the other?

My steering wheel is definitely not centered in the dash, it is far to the left, in front of the driver's seat. :)

So this kept annoying me. I had the truck at the dealers for a different issue and had them look at this too while it was there. Of course they just "look" at it and attempted to do nothing. They told me it's normal because some trucks on the lot they checked were the same. Big surprise there. That wasn't good enough for me, so when I had some time at home I took a look. There are 4 10mm bolts that hold that steering column on. I loosened all 4 and there was enough play to pull the steering column center. Go figure. It took me about 15 minutes. Too bad the dealership couldn't had put that much effort into it.

Interesting post, mine seems to be centered?

Now I'll have to check it again every time I drive it. Did I check the last time I drove it? I better check again to be sure. Stupid OCD...

Oh yeah, I said "bolts", it's actually 4 nuts, but you'll see what I mean.
