I removed the factory side steps off my truck today (2015 Crew Cab Big Horn). Is there a trim piece or something that can be installed on the pinch mold down there? I removed the speed nuts from the steps and installed the star bolts head out to cover the blank holes bit it looks kinda funny. It's not super noticeable and will be less so once I get it lowered but just looking for ideas to make it look better.

Anything you cover them with will hold water and dirt, which is a combination for rust to start.

Try some of the barbed push in tabs that hold stuff like the wheel well liners in place.

This is probably what I'll try. The speed nuts and bolts will probably rust. I would just leave the holes but the brackets for the steps left some marks. The holes are pretty rough too.

Here is a pic of the overall pinch weld:20200816_132017.jpg
Here is an up close of the front holes with the bolts threaded in:

I need to clean the lower part of the truck up, the steps blocked the car washes quite a bit. It might look better once everything is clean.
