In my 81 it originally came with a am radio. When I bought the truck the previous owner put in a CD player but I bought the truck without it. When I installed the CD player I used the previous wiring there’s one red wire one orange. I don’t have memory on the CD deck. I had to connect the yellow and red off the deck to the red from the original wire so to have power but how to get the deck to have memory?

you need to find a 'constant on' line to keep memory on a deck. I'm guessing you're hooked into the ACC on that is off when the key is out.
