I bought my 97 dodge ram a couple weeks ago. It had an aftermarket stereo in it, but I decided that I would put mine in instead. Who ever installed the previous stereo did a horrible job, and didn't use a wiring harness. I was able to connect all the wires myself with some butt connectors, and tape. Everything powers up on it, but the music only plays through the tweeters, and not the speakers (which I just replaced the speakers a week ago.) has anyone had this issue, and/or know the way to fix it?

If you have tweeters that means you have the premier sound system. That means you have amps in your doors. In order for these amps to power on you need to connect the remote wire of your head unit to the amp remote wire. If should be behind the radio since the factory radio had it built into the plug.
