I had a strange problem with my backup camera recently. I was backing into a parking space when my camera presented a very strange pictyrce. The screen was black with wiggley white horizonal horizon lines. Kind of like interference.

The building I was backing up against was a nursing home/long-term care facility. I think they "might" have had an x-ray room in that vicinity but I was not able to check that out as I was more concerned about my mother's rapidly declining health.

As soon as I left, so did the problem.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like interference, possibly from medical equipment like X-rays or other imaging devices in the nursing home. These can sometimes disrupt electronics. Glad it resolved after you left!
