Yes, I know I put this in the wrong sub-forum. :Get him!:

I recently purchased a 2005 Ram Hemi that is in very good condition.

Everything works as expected, but for a strange phenomenon with
the door locks.

If I leave the doors unlocked for a period of time, they automatically lock themselves. This would be rather inconvenient if I left the keys in the car while I'm working on it.

and this morning was really strange, while walking out to get my paper, I could hear the doors lock themselves. The truck's been sitting locked for two days, but I heard the doors lock. :insane:

I'm new to Dodge Rams, but is this normal.

Thats a new one for me. Might be the module behind your gauge cluster going bad. Or you neighbor is on your frequency.

Is it the factory alarm system in there, or do you have an aftermarket one such as Viper or something like that?

I know the factory alarm does not lock itself after a period of time. That's just odd. But like said above. Is there an aftermarket system in the truck?

Yeah, something's screwy with that. It's not supposed to do that.

had the same issue on my cousins truck but it turned out to be that when he bought it used the previous owner had an aftermarket alarm and just didnt turn in the remote so everyone thought it only had the factory alarm. well he ended up deciding to get an aftermarket alarm with that option on it so that he could disable it and when they started the install is when the alarm place found all the stuff from the alarm it already had
