I installed Front Switchbacks in my 2019 RAM 1500 Classic, with the Resistors on the Turn Signal wires.
Initially they performed perfectly, how ever now (while I'm on a trip for a week) i'm experiencing the following.

With the Parking Lights ON, or the Parking Lights and Headlights (either Hi or Low Beams) on I receive no Errors.

When I turn on the Left Turn Signal, I get a "Parking Light Out" Error.
When I turn on the Right Turn Signal, I receive NO Error.

The Resistors are soldered to the Turn Signal wires, so it is not a "loose connection" problem.

I know, and upon return home, will get AlfaOBD to program for LED Parking and Turn, but now I must live with the above situation.

Has anyone else experienced this? Solution?

I have been trying to fix the same issue for a long time now.

I had resistors wired in for a while, changed settings in alfa, removed resistors, changed more settings... Nothing works.

My parking light error comes on every time I hit the brakes or use the turn signal while my lights are on.

I think I am going to give up on the switchbacks and go straight amber eventually. Or just keep the stereo up loud enough that I can't the error like I have been doing for a year now.

In a way, glad that I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Odd thing in my case is ONLY when the Left Turn Signal is used. I'll consider myself fortunate. LOL

Don't rule out a bad connection just because the connection is soldered. You might possibly have a cold joint.

Have you contacted Paul at Diode Dynamics?

Do you have alfa already or are you planning on getting it? It is worth a shot messing with those settings. It seems like everyone has been able to correct this issue using that software. Not sure why mine would be different. Or how you only get a bulb out error when you use your left turn signal.

I thought it might be a bulb issue so I ended up getting a set of the new GTR Armor Series switchbacks and they do the same thing.

What switchbacks are you using?

I've ordered the MX OBD, and the Security Bypass. Those should be at home when I return next week.
I have an Android Phone, so will get the App, and see what I can mess up.
I have the GTR Switchbacks. Just to rule out a bulb issue, I'll swap the L & R bulbs when I get back.

As to the comment on a possible cold solder joint, I can guarantee you it is not (electronics is my trade).

Thanks for the replies. At least I know that I do not have an isolated issue.

Is there a possibility of a dead led on the bulb? My 15 ram sport with projectors had a dead led in the passenger marker board and caused the error message and hyperflash on mirror

Right now that would be hard for me to tel, being out on the road and not able to pull the headlight assembly.
Good point though, and I will look for that when I swap the bulbs.

All it took was one in the board of mine to cause the issue.

take the bulb out and turn it 180deg and plug it back in. sometimes that will work and stop the issue. if you still have the issue get alfa and set both to led and throw away your resitors. i had the same headache and a long time ago with my led tail lights when i reconfigured my headlights i just got alfa.

I’ve got resistors installed with my switchback style 3157 bulbs. I don’t get the bulb out anymore but when I scan the computer I get a passenger turn lamp failed test. Programmed for led with Alfa. Also get a failed test on brake light but no error. Thankfully no hyper flash on the dash

Turning the bulb 160 degrees in the socket will result in the bulb not working at all, as the LED Bulbs are polarity sensitive.

Good info crazykid1994. I'll keep that in mind and scan when I get home and use AlfoOBD.
