Cost no factor. Just want plug and play, low issue, improvement for crappy (being kind) stock headlights.

Research shows both have issues but no clue on how bad they are? Pretty confused on better option.

as far as I know Morimoto is only one that has DOT SAE showing on the lens

when I asked Alpharex I was told no I went with Morimoto Hybrid at $1250 CAD

so will be cheaper your side of border

There's a few of us on here that run the dual projector AlphaRex's. Got mine on amazon for less than $300.

If you go alpharex, go for the lux or nova with the dedicated led projectors instead of the pro series. By the time you add quality led and/or hid kits to them, you're almost paying the same as the dedicated led projectors.

Hybrid seemed like a good option. Was seeing warnings that they don't work with factory projectors?

These are the "factory projector" trucks

I can get Alpharex Novas at O'Reilly auto which if issues makes for easy returns.

Is that really worth it as it’s not a replaceable bulb and built in chip?

In my opinion, absolutely. A projector designed solely for an led is going to give you the best output. Replacement led bulbs have a weakness, and that's heat. They ALL lose output as they heat up until they get to their operating temp. A housing designed around an led chip is going to manage that heat better and have a more stable output.

So which version has the chip… I’m so confused on all the different versions. Busy at work but it looks like I could even do alpha Rex fifth gen on my fourth gen if I wanted correct?

Luxx and nova have built in leds. They have a ton of different styles available, just pick the style you want and look for luxx or nova.
