I've got a 2010 crew cab and I bought a sealed box for my 2 10" woofers but its 1"-2" to high.. Is there any boxes in Canada that will fit snug under there? The sub covers can be felt through the seat and makes for an uncomfortable ride (good thing I'm never back there heh).

Forgot to mention.. if anyone has ran into this problem and preformed a seat raise is it worth the effort rather than finding a proper box? And also where did you get the blocks at?

I have a 2011 with a dual 10 box and mine fits fine. How bad can you feel the subs through the seats is it like the seat is pushing them down. Or just can feel. You can get metal bar covers for the subs or raise the seats an inch or so. I did not have to.

Here's a couple pics of mine. The box has a ring around the subs that helps protect them

Thats the same as mine with the raised squares but you can feel them pretty bad I have the ml covers on to protect the sub's and they make the middle of the seat very hard so I think I might just have to raise it

Even with the seat raised, you'll want some air between the seat and sub -- even with someone sitting on it. This is the problem with most ebay boxes. Mine was never going to work until I performed a lot of modifications to it. I can't raise my seats, because I already trimmed my hooks on the seat backs.

What other modifications can I do other than a seat raise? And will that extra space improve sound quality?

Speakers (subs especially) move air, so if that air can get around easily, it will improve their efficiency making the sound more clear and louder.
Is there enough space in the box to bottom mount them (I realize the work involved with that)

If you want to keep your current box...raise the seat, it's easy...you could even use washers if you had to, or make wood block spacers...easy stuff.
OR
get a different box

Most of them out there from what I understand about reading other installations is that you have to raise the seat. Now you can get a custom made one or custom make it yourself to solve the issues you've been having.
