Hi everyone,
I have a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 DT, Crew Cab, 6′4″ bed, 4×4, 5.7 L HEMI non‑e‑Torque, 3.92 gear ratio. My truck has a one-piece driveshaft.
Sometimes, when going from a stop to moving, I feel a lurching or bumping sensation. It doesn’t happen all the time.
I know on trucks with two-piece driveshafts, this can sometimes be caused by the center bearing, which can be greased, but since my truck has a one-piece driveshaft, I’m trying to figure out what could be causing this.
Could this be related to:
Has anyone else with a 2022 Ram 1500 one-piece driveshaft experienced this? What did you find was causing it and how did you fix it?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
If you want, I can also make it even shorter and punchier, so it’s more likely to get quick replies on a forum. Do you want me to do that?

Could this be related to:
- Worn or dry U-joints
- Slight pinion or driveshaft angle issues
- Transmission or torque converter behavior at low speeds
- Play in the rear differential or pinion yoke
