Supercharger. Turbo is very involved build. But with it being a 2003 most tuners won't do it. You'll need a custom tune for either set up.

A blower will put constant strain on the drive train if you run pulleys to have instant boost. A turbo will have lag till it spools but builds high egts and can in turn blow out the turbo is you tow a ton without a good intercooler. Engine temps also seem to stay higher in the blower cars/jeeps we do then the turbo apps. Like PCA said though tuning is gonna be the whole game for you. You are gonna have to run a stand alone to adjust everything to make it play right.

Convert harness/PCM to 2005. Then pick whatever you want because you'll be able to tune it.

I say build the motor for solid N/A power and throw a bottle on it. This will be more reliable, much easier to tune, and just as effective.

A bit off topic but I read that the 6.1 crank is forged? And if thats true will it drop in a 5.7 without major mods? I'd imagine maybe new rods an pistons are in order for it though.

Correct. I ran a 6.1 crank on my 370" stroker build. You will need new pistons and rods though, so it does get expensive.

That truck was at the dragstrip more than it was on the street...and the time it spent on the street, I was driving it like I was at the dragstrip...haha.

Lets just say, I never tried to get any sort of mileage reading with it.

I vote s/c after going to mopar national and comparing the two s/c just seem like way less headaches and I tow occasionally so I don't want to worry about egt and most kits I've found are rear mount turbos which I'm not fond on that for a daily driver

If ya go forgeded rotating asm you can handle a big hit of spray, well as much as the plastic manifold can handle lol. The weak point and always will be on the stock 5.7 is the pistons. The ringland is soooo thin on them for the emmisions and they are domed where 6.1 pistons are flat topped with more meat on them.
