who's shift points schedule is better for low end off the line power ?? need help deciding

also what to set the wot and 1-2 2-3 at ? and what to i do with the TQ managment ...this is all new to me .

If you use my shift schedule or Rubberfrogs (George's), you should be in a good starting point.

Here's my latest:
Rev Limiter: 6250
Speed Limiter: 106 <- Stock - it's what my tires are rated for. However many have it maxed at 140
WOT 1-2: 5900
WOT 2-3: 5850

I set my TM as follows:
WOT 1: 10%
WOT 2: 10%
WOT 2P: 10%
WOT 3: 10%
WOT 4: 30%

Part 1: 8.8% for all 4 RPMs
Part 2: 8.8% "
Part 2P: 8.8% "
Part 3: 8.8% "
Part 4: 30% "

then loaded your settings ....

Here's my latest:

one thing i didnt like is it took forever to wind up to hit the wheels . any thoughts ?

i wonder what the difference will be in the 91 tune ?

and most of all how do i get the report like you have for the shift points to see how close i am to yours ?

like it reved up real good but didnt realy move like it should . until it hit like 3k

im tore between Marks and Matt's list .

i want off the line power what will be best to start with . keep in mind its a mega

then u can adjust like 1up and make it more aggressive. i would also lower ur rev limiter

lower the rev ? what will that do ?

and adjust like 1up , per spot ? or adjust the 1 up setting ?

ok ok ... just explain one thing ... for low end power do you want a big sweep in the graph or bunched up .. im comparing mikes and marks .

big sweep, if you are out of gear faster (bunched up), you will be shifting to 2nd at 2,000 rpm at WOT. LOL, don't need that.

you get the point.

Give the truck some time to learn the tune too.

im using marks now with the tow tune to see how it does .
till i run out of 87 oct

mark what tune are you running with that schedule

I suggest you stuck with one trans schedule for at least a week so you can really get a feel for it.

Dave,

Couple of things to try...but, first Tow requires 91 or better octane. If your truck is pinging, change the tune to 87 until you burn up that fuel.

Try this simple throttle recalibration procedure: Turn the key to ON (DO NOT START), mash the throttle to the floor and hold for 10 seconds. With pedal still at the floor, turn key to OFF and continue to hold for another 10 seconds. Slowly release the throttle. This should give you better throttle response.

Download the Excel spread sheet to your PC and update the TP% values (if different) and then plug in your set points. The graphs will update automatically.

P.S. I'm leaving shortly for Watkins Glen for the race so I'll be away till next week. So, if you don;t hear from me you'll know why?
