I just bought a blue 2017 Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab Tradesman & it has black door handles on the exterior. I'd like to swap these to chrome - can that be done, i.e., do they make a chrome handle that fits this trim package, or are they all interchangeable, or am I stuck with black?

I changed mine to the painted ones, takes a little patience, and trust me drill the hole in the plastic cover like in the photo,it makes life so easy lol,I didn't on the front doors and when I did the rears I did.If I did it again the front would also be drilled.I bought mine from the mopar guy on this site, bought other stuff from him also.No bull, very easy to deal with and knows exactly what you want.

So the hole is to un-bolt the door handle i assume and then the linkage is disconnected when you pull the handle off door?
Any more info on this would be great! I wanna color match mine and dont really feel like going through all those other steps if i dont have to!

I have done several by just pulling off the inner door panel. It literally takes about 20 minutes per door once you get the hang of it. Just disconnect the window from the track by pressing the two clips that you can access by removing the door speaker to get to one and then pop off the access door do access the other. Tape the window in the up position and then un bolt and move the inner door panel to the side. You can easily access the handle at that point.

There is a pretty good write up with video in the DIY section. I'm sure drilling the hole shaves off about half the time. Unclipping the window, taping it up, and removing the inner panel to unscrew the hadles from the inside takes about an hr a door if you've never done it.

Ok thanks, ill have to watch more vids as the one i saw was pretty involved, im not dynomating the doors or anything that i know of yet so just want the quickest way.
Not that i can't rip a truck apart and put it back together i just seem to have too many other projects, still have fox coils to install from a year ago lol

I’m trying to find some paint matched Delmonico handles to do this same swap.

Where have people bought paint matched handles? I can’t google anything up. The few time I find links they’re all dead. Plenty of black/chrome for sale, but I’m striking out on paint match.

They still have to be available right? What am I missing??

Could always buy a can of factory color spray paint and change your existing handles, but that would require drying time so not a one day job.
