Sway bar upgrade

All, I'm considering doing a Hellwig rear sway bar.

Just curious what peoples experiences have been while towing with these upgraded bars? Any added lateral stability while towing? Any concerns about it? Too stiff taking weight off the inside wheel on turns causing spins/jackknifes? Other added benefits?

5.7 Hemi w/ 3.21 gears
8 speed
6'4" bed
Airlift 1000 support bags

Pulling 28 foot (box) TT with loaded weight of around 7200lbs.

I've got my Equil-i-zer WDH dialed in for my current set-up and I'm comfortable and confident in it other than on the windiest days, just looking for the best setup possible for relatively cheap.

And no going 2500 is not an option.

Haven't towed much since I installed my Hellwig, but empty on windy days it does make a noticeable difference on the middle setting. With 7200 lbs behind me I'd say the difference would probably be more noticeable on a windy day as the more mechanical sway control you have the less you have to rely on the electronic sway control. The Hellwig also has 3 different holes you can use with the outermost being closer to stock and the inner most being fairly stiff. I'd say it's up there on the recommended upgrade list for towing as mentioned by a number of guys that I'm sure will chime in with their experiences.

I tow a 24 foot TT (closer to 30 tongue to.bumper). GVWR is 7,000. I noticed a difference after installing my Hellwig sway bar. I also upgraded to the Airlift 1000HD (black) bags. They perform a little better than the red ones.

Might want to check out Roadmaster also. When I was adding a bar to my 18 3500 I found Roadmaster to be bigger, cleaner mounting and lower cost.

That makes some sense I suppose. Disclaimer, when I tow the TT, I generally tow with the TCS off on the truck due to some articles on here I read when I first bought the truck.

Thanks! Have you noticed any issues after installing the new ones? I thought long and hard about going with the HDs, chose not too.. then the Mrs decided she wanted a new (bigger) camper about a week after I got the red bags installed.

No issues with the new bags. But the old bags were very difficult to remove! I could not get them out without removing the springs. Even with the springs removed, it took some wrestling. IMHO, it was worth the work. LT tires, bags, and sway bar combined really makes towing much more enjoyable.
