I have a 15 ram sport with projector headlights. Personally, I don’t like them. I hate the cutoff look of the light.
Just wondering if I can switch them out for the reflector style of headlight?
Yes, I do have led bulbs in both low and high beam but still not to fond of the look.

I prefer the look of the reflector lights as well. I inquired about this exact thing. I was told it won't work because the wiring is different

it takes a little bit of work but its not extremely hard, Ive made a conversion harness a few times for just this, but the issue is that i have to use the wiring from inside the existing projector headlights...

i actually have a set of harnesses for just this conversion sitting on my desk right now, but they are my "go by" harness for making future ones...

If you are really interested in doing this then we could take the wiring from your lights you have now and make you a conversion, but it would mean you lose that set of projectors

I did not know there were diff. kinds of headlamps. I ASS ume that one is LED and the other is not. if that is the case. I was thinking I want To change to LEDs. Is that not as easy as ordering the LEDs and just installing them? And is the same with all the lights on the truck

LED vs halogen is a different discussion than what we are talking about here, you can put LEDs in any headlight, as long as you get the right wiring harness and proper bulb size, quality of output and functionality are dependent on the product and the housing being installed in, but thats a completely different thread than this one.

There’s two different types. Reflector and projector but both styles have halogen bulbs.
You can putug and play led’s in both styles of headlight however the projector type headlight has a cut off line that you see on the road and I really don’t like it.
I’d rather I have light shine all over not just part way.

The stock OEM halogen setup sucks. I've upgraded two 4th gen trucks to HID.

The halogen reflector standard capsules are, IMHO, a bit of a step down from the project setup. That's just my opinion as I tried updated halogen bulbs and LEDs in a previous RAM and it didn't work out well.

HID's in projectors are a great combination and you don't have to swap headlight capsules for any reason. There are plug and play kits available from several sources. I've upgraded or modified headlights to work with HIDs on several Ram trucks and get my stuff from Retroshop. JJ is a good guy to deal with and his kits work.

If you want a 2015 quad headlight pair, I have a set in perfect condition that I would trade for your factory projectors... I would throw in some cash to make the trade worth it to you. They have been boxed up for months.

I have aftermarket projectors that I am very happy with, but would like to try out the factory projectors. Because of this, I do not need to worry about being without the quad headlights during the exchange. If you want to PM me.

since the parts arent available regularly, he would have to remove the wiring from the projector headlights to do the conversion, if he traded his lights he would still have to find a way to wire the quad lights into his truck.

What i have to do when i make these conversion harnesses is buy broken OEM lights from either junk yards or ebay, which are usually around $100 a side, so right there you start at $200 to even begin to start the conversion and then you add in the cost of the extra connectors and various wiring components and the cost goes even higher
