I finally got around to installing some Sylvania SilverStar headlights in my 2012 Ram Sport 1500. Low beams are H11 and the Hi beams are 9005. I am going to pick up a set of silverstar 9145 bulbs for my fog lights so it all matches since I tend to drive with my fogs on most of the time.
Installation sucks to say the least, start by taping a row or two to the top of your front bumper as close to the grill as possible and around the headlight areas. remove the upper radiator shroud/cover above the grill then remove the four 10mm bolts holding the top of the grille to the core support. carefully pull and/or reach in and push the bottom of the grill out to release the spring clips, this is where the tape comes into place so you don't scratch the top of your painted bumper. Remove the two 10mm bolts holding the headlight in place near the grill opening. Turn tires and open access panel, 2012's have a push clip holding the cover closed. Once open reach in and push the rear headlight retainer up then use two hands and pull out on the headlamp, it will be tight due to the ball style retainer holding the headlamp housing in place. replace bulbs and reassemble in reverse order. Doesn't take long, it's just a PITA to have to go through so much work just to replace a headlight bulb!!!
