my transfer case keeps failing, 2011 ram 5.7 hemi. whenever i engage it into 4wd lock or low range it only spins rear tires, i have already had that issue once and had to replace the gears. what can i do to avoid this problem again before tackling the problem at hand now. im guessing some kind of clutch is failling?
my country has very poor mechanics, i have very limited knowledge can someone guide me through this?

If your transfer case has an Auto 4X4, you need to use the correct fluid for transfer case or it will not work correctly. Also the transfer case is a torque on demand and engages the front wheels when slippage is detected.

The issue with trying to answer the question is that there is not some single item that is failing. The description of the issue is not nearly detailed enough to give an exact answer to the problem. There are multiple different components that could not be working correctly. Is the switch on the dash working? Do you have a loose connection between the switch and transfer case? Is something wrong in the transfer case? Is there something wrong with the front differential? Even broke front axle CV shaft would make it seem like the 4wd was not working.
