I've got a 2006 with the 3.7. A couple of years ago I replaced the starter and since then the tachometer has run in reverse. As the revolutions go higher, the needle moves counter-clockwise. Anyone have any ideas on how to make it operate properly? I don't recall disconnecting anything remotely related to the tach when changing the starter.

They tend to just fail on the older trucks I used a heat gun on the chip he shows if all fails you can send the cluster out to get repaired or get a used one on ebay with close miles.
