Looking for recommendations on tinting my tail lights. I want to do this myself if all possible.

I've seen a lot of people using the tint wrap but have had problems down the road.

I would suggest 3 light coats of VHT Nighshade and 3 wet coats of 2K clear.

Let the clear set over night, wet sand with 2000 grit paper and hand buff to a mirror finish.

I have used VHT and take it slow in the number of coats. It dries darker that when sprayed. When I did my Nitro, went with a mist, light and light coat. The first time I did it, on the third coat it went a lil more than light was too dark. Luckily I had already bought a spare set and was able to sell the dark ones. And do them at the same time so they are the same darkness,

Go slow and have patience.

I have VVivid Med Smoke tint on my tails and 3rd brake light for almost two years now with no problems. I tinted my fogs at one time but didn’t like the loss of light at night.

This film is priced right and easy to use with a heat gun. Plenty of videos out there also.
