Made an appointment w/ service dept for the tailgate latch recall. Sat in waiting room about 1 hour. Says they don't have the parts for the recall.

Few days later, tried to open the tailgate no bueno. Got in there myself and clipped the link back in ‍♂️ C'mon man

I have one better for you. Took my truck in for an oil change the Finnegan offered to also perform the recall on the tailgate when it was in the shop. I thought they were being proactive and felt really good about what I perceived to be an improved level of service. I have the drop in bed rug on my truck and a bed mat on the tailgate which is fastened with the Velcro kit that came with it. Next think I know they come in the waiting area to tell me they can't do it because of the tailgate mat cover and that it does not come off. I walked them to the lot where my truck was sitting and removed it like taking a diaper off a baby. They were rather embarrassed but took it to the back to do the recall - but not before I asked them not to place the tailgate mat back on the tailgate when finished as I'd do it when I get home. Well, they did the recall and then placed the mat back on the tailgate - too far to the right - and proceeded to slam it in the latch until it would close. The right side of the mat was chewed to hell and still stuck in the latch when I opened my tailgate at the house. Stealers, ********* and the worst part of buying any new vehicle.

I will continue to repeat myself...the first manufacturer that takes service as seriously as building a truck and ensuring trained, well paid technicians are doing top notch customer service will win the car wars. Until then, we the consumer will continue to suffer from inferior quality service and price gouging at every turn.

Def same thought. Service manager let me in the shop while truck was on the lift showing me the driveline/shaft whatever.

I did notice everyone moving very fast and hustling.
