Hey guys, not sure if anyone has done this and a quick search didnt show anything relevant, but has anyone swapped their parts off the tailgate to a new tailgate? i purchased a primered Mopar tailgate with the holes for the RAM latters that has no hardware, and im getting it paint matched to put on. I imagine its not crazy hard but i would hate to miss something. all the parts look fairly easy to remove and swap to the new one.

You ever find good info on this? I am buying a used tailgate "shell" to replace my damaged tailgate. I imagine I've gotta swap over some stuff. I'd love to find a video showing how, but thus far haven't found anything.

This is very easy. I swapped mine after my wife backed in to our mailbox. You need an 8 mm, a fat torx bit/socket can't remember what size. Maybe pliers or screwdriver to pop the latch rods off. The easy way is remove one piece at a time and put it on your new tailgate if you think you will forget. But it really is easy. There is a video on youtube about replacing the latch, look at that and it is probably the hardest thing you have to do.
