Painted mine about 2 months ago and it's still in good shape - even after removing it a couple of times.
I think they will hold up fine with, with normal use.

where did you get the paint for yours? it looks like the deep cherry

Ya maybe I should have put this in the DIY section. Maybe a moderator can move it there and retitle it how to paint your engine covers, the right way....

That or, you could re-crate it in the DIY and upload all the pictures to photobucket. That way you can get the whole DIY start to finish in one post inside of a couple pages and all your pictures will be right side up :)

Otherwise good write up, may paint my own stuff when I order a vararam.
