I can't believe how nice they made these trucks. I was riding around in the Longhorn and it was amazing... traveling 65 MPH with the radio off and I couldn't even hear outside. Cooled seats..heated steering wheel. Then back to reality with mine haha.

Uh oh lol.

You can get a sport with all those options and save yourself probably about $4-5k. I like the longhorns a lot, but I don't think I could ever spend that much on a half ton. I gotta ask though, was it 4x4?

Agreed, I have 3 other 4th gens in my family and I drive them all the time, one is a spot and one is a Laramie. Now I live my truck and it's always a joy to drive but the 4th gens are so nice its ridiculous. I want one everyday but not sure if I can give up my truck especially with all the mods and how I have got it pretty much the way I want it

Was it a CUMMINS ? I would assume since it is in the CTD section .

Indeed it was a CTD and yes it was a 4x4. I can't believe how quiet they made the diesel from the inside. The 3rd gen CTD can get pretty loud on the inside.

I did step on it while test driving... truck has some major balls.

Did you go to Clear Lake Dodge? I saw they had 2 black Longhorn CTD's the other day when I was there picking up a part.

I did indeed. They actually have a few right now. They have 2 of the jacked up ones and a few in the back. If you test drive one.. make sure to drive to the back. It's all muddy back there. Have to put it in 4wd and monster truck out of there haha.

Haha, I won't be driving one. What kind of lifts do they have on them? Looks like maybe a 4" lift and 35s I'm assuming.

You would be correct. They want to charge you an ungodly amount for their suspension and tires. I think the truck came out to 72k? Dumb.

They must be insane, but that doesn't completely surprise me. The sticker on the truck is what probably about 60-62k then another 10k for lift, tires and wheels sounds about right for a dealer. Check back around Oct-Nov when they're still trying to get rid of that truck.

I saw they have a black, lifted 1500 parked out front. I was going to stop in and see how much they want for it...but my curiously hasn't lead me to stop just yet.

I actually looked at that one as well. It's really nice. It's a lone star and I believe it's around 40k. I'd stick with your truck though haha.

I'm not interested in buying it, just more out of curiously what they charge. 40k seems pretty low for a dealer-lifted 1500 though.

I might be off a little but the price was pretty reasonable. Perked my ears anyways.

The more I read this the more I cannot wait for mine to arrive. Its begun its journey, but doesn't leave for Australia for another month. I've never driven or sat inside one. Just bought one cause they look so damn awesome.

Are the seats as comfortable as they look ?
