Text messages

I had a2016 Ram and it used to read or my text messages to me and then something changed on my iphone and it stopped. I have a new 2018 and I use it for business and would like to know how to get the feature back working. Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely in the UConnect setting on your phone. Go to settings, then bluetooth, then click on the "i" next to uconnect and make sure "show notifications" is turned on. This resets everytime to pair your phone.

What he said.... It must have been something on one of the last iPhone updates cuz mine quit working too until I did the above again.

Having a 2018 you should have the new UConnect which would have Apple Car Play and Android Auto which are both better than UConnect

This is a pretty cool feature. I like when it reads me the text message.

If the above doesn't work, unpair the devices and pair them up again. There will be an option that comes up that says allow UCONNECT to make CALLS/TEXT and you'll want to allow that.

I don't seem to have the Apple car play and all that. Is there a download or update I need to do to get that? Also, I re-paired the phone and it still doesn't read them out loud unless I click on the screen. My older truck used to notify me of a new text and ask if I wanted it read.
