really wanting a new ram lately, not sure why. Mine is an 07 with 69k on the clock and is in flawless condition, not a scratch on it. Truck has been paid off for 2 or 3 years, and finally got all my mods done just the way i like it-navigation w/backup cam, nfabs linex'd, projector lights, list goes on and on. Anyways, here are a few pics, curious what i could ask for it, bb is $20 in excellent condition for private party sale. 004.jpg

anyone interested and want to take it off my hands? Drive a company truck for work so my truck never leaves the garage. Been lookin for a 2010-2012 black 1500 4x4, probably laramie, definitely want nav/backup cam, center business console, remote start. Just can't decide if it would be a dumb move bc it's paid off and doesn't have a single problem. What would u guys do?

I love the new Dodges, if you can comfortably upgrade-do it! I wish I could get ahold of a new 2013 Dodge Ram R/T.
Engine Specifications: 2013 Ram Truck 1500 2WD Reg Cab R/T
Type: Gas V8
Size: 5.7L/345
Horsepower: 390 @ 5600 RPM
Torque: 407 @ 4000 RPM

Not to avoid, your current truck is great looking with a lot of nice accessories. But as I said, comfort zone is what matters to you. What kind of things do you want from a truck?

No repairs what so ever. Been a good truck and no mechanical problems. Had a few front suspension issues a while back but upgraded to bilstein 5100's and have been good since. Don't really use the truck that often, most of the time I only drive it on the weekends. Couldn't live without a truck though, every year the bed is stacked with mulch lol, along with the few times I needed to pull a trailer. Really want something new, but with my truck being paid off, 69k miles, and not a single problem, just not too sure if I should. If I could sell it for like $17-20k then find a slightly used one for about $30k I would seriously think about it

keep it and save on payments. Use it for something else that you need more. You seem to be in a great situation.

x2

Mines going to be paid off in two months. I am ecstatic that I will have an extra 500 dollars a month for something else :)

I think I would hang on to that one. Seems to be just fine for you and no payments is a plus!

I would buy some new wheels and tires to change the look up enough to make it feel new then hold on to it for a couple more years and enjoy the no payment thing

I'd probably keep it. Thats a nice looking truck. But if you really, really are itching for that new truck feeling and you are bored with your current truck then you will most likely have to go new.

Ask yourself if you are bored with this truck. If you are not bored with it and still love it then keep it.

Not having a truck payment is a great thing. Like said above, I would just add something new to your current truck to make you fall in love with it again. That will be much cheaper than taking on a $500-$600 payment. Your truck looks great as is, and it sounds like you have taken great care of it. Should last you many more miles.

When ever I buy a new or newer truck, I am extatic for the first three months....about the time the third or fourth payment is due, I am pissed at myself for making the trade.

My 06 mega cab has 51,000 miles on it, and I almost traded it for a 4th generation 3/4 ton last week...It was a beautiful Laramie and loaded!

Fortunately, my wife and son yelled at me and got me straight....now the impulsiveness is over, and I an ok until the next time.

In the meantime, You and I both have trucks that will go another 200,000 miles....there is absolutely no reason to trade....with paid off trucks, we can put lots of money away each and every month. But, we wont, and eventually we will become over whelmed by the desire for a new truck, we will buy it, and be pissed three months later, saddled with a truck payment AGAIN!!!
