Ive always read not to level your truck "twice" by stacking a leveling kit (lets say an HBS 2.5" level kit) with leveling Bilstein shocks. But when you buy a lift kit and keep the leveling shocks on it as well, isn't it basically the same thing? the lift kit with come with a strut spacer you have to install. Or am I missing something here?

Sorry Bluesmoke,

I don't know from experience or discussion.

However, your thought process makes sense to me. You wouldn't do the same spacing twice.

Personally, I would remove the leveling equipment and just install the lift equipment.

Good luck

I agree with this also.

I believe some kits come with a pre load spacer and strut spacers
The strut spacer goes above the strut assembly essentially lowerin the mounting point where the pre load spacer goes into the strut assembly giving you an inch or so of lift that way

You wouldn't want to use the pre load spacer with bilstiens as that does the same thing as what the adjustable circlip on the strut does but it's ok to use the strut spacer

Thanks for the reply man. I figured a lot of 4th gens are running the strut spacer with the bilsteins maxed out so a 3rd gen with the same front end setup should be safe too.
