Apparently some people do, I have not. I've had 2 sports and have put about 70,000 miles on them (40 on the first and now 30 on this second one) and have not had a single rock chip in the bumper...have had a few in the hood though. All sorts of driveway, lots of highway, lots of back road/dirt roads etc...and they salt the roads up here in winter like they have to get rid of the stuff in a hurry.

I've had 2 other sports, both held up well, but I did have a couple of small chips on them

Just picked up my BigHorn last week. Pretty much fully loaded out the door.

20190215_170658.jpg 20190214_100147.jpg 20190306_124906.jpg I picked up this truck last month, first new truck in a few years. Well last new truck was in 1998 and it was a Dodge Ram Quadcab Sport. Loved it. So it feels good to be back in a Ram. I took the Classic after driving both and liked the look of the classic best. And added these steps last week. Love it so far

technically your truck is a 4th gen. This thread is for 5th gens. However nice looking truck

I could be wrong but I have the 2019 1500 Classic Big Horn and I called Dodge and they asked for my vin # and said I have a 5th Gen truck. That is all I have to go by, and when I went by the dealer last week they said the same thing.

They are lying to you like a viper in the red Maine mud...just for reference, a 4th gen:

5th Gen:

I think the "classic" part is basically stating its a 4th gen. Still a great looking truck though! Congratulations on your purchase!

Howdy Folks. I bought mine last week, really enjoying it so far. The whole family is, which is a bonus. I guess I need to snap a new pic since I added the Lomax bed cover since taking this one. I went looking for a gently-used Gen 4, but the looks of the Gen 5 won me over ... Dealer discounts and FCA incentives / rebates made it a viable alternative. Here's mine, Lone Star flavor since I'm a Texan >

I have never liked Dodge Rams or Ram Trucks ever, and now I’m proud to drive one. It’s as nice on the inside as my girlfriends c450 AMG. I can tow my 24’ enclosed trailer without any issues at all. I drove all the new trucks and the Ram was the winner for me. The tow capacity interior options and payment crushed all the other new trucks. I own a Hot Rod shop called 1945 Speed and Custom so I can’t keep anything stock so I measured from the ground to the top of the wheel arch and it had 3” of rake so I did a 3” level along with some 20x9 +18 fifteen52 turbomacHD wheels and 275/65/20 Tires I don’t plan on doing anything els but putting gas in it and driving it.
