thoughts onbest fuel filters and oil bypass filter system

I am going to be changing the fuel filter soon and just wondering is one better than the other or are they pretty much the same. Also watched a youtube video on amsoil 3 micron by pass filter was wondering what everyone else had recommended and is it worth it. The 1st and 2nd gen had a plug you could remove for the oil source tube does the third have the same feature.

I believe, and this needs fact checking, that for the CRD that Fleetguard had the best micron rating on the fuel filters. I would spend the money, and get the best filter.

I also believe that all Cummins engines have the 'plumbing' for the bypass filter setup.
