throttle body 2004-2005

I have an 04 Ram with 5.7. I just purchased a new throttle body but it is for an 05. From what I have read the only difference is a slight change in the plug, all wiring is the same. I can verify that the 05 will not plug into my 04 harness.
Are there any adapter plugs or any modification I can make to get it to fit or is my only option to cut out and splice in the 05 plug?

Hoping someone has done this mod.

You are correct the only difference is the plug key. I changed to a 05 plug and have no issues. (BBK 90mm)

did you splice in an 05 plug or were you able to modify the pre 05 to fit?

At the time I spliced in a 05 plug. Since then I have cut the keys out of plugs that didn't fit without issue on O2s. So I'll say take a close look at it to see if it can easily be modified or pickup a 05 repair plug.
