I just had my alignment done today on a 2019 Ram 2500. I did the 2" Thuren Hemi coils, overland shocks & track bar.

I verified the alignment shop did the toe/caster correctly but when I got home the cam bolts are like this.

Is this a problem?

1st photo is passenger side at the 1st click to rear

2nd photo is driver side maxed out to rearbf67951fc8709af3503581d60ed97b4a.jpg1e4220203a95031d6d666c1f2be582f9.jpgc4e215b8534886ca4804f1827459d033.jpg

The truck measures within a 1/4" side to side if that matters

They do that to try and compensate for the crown in the road, it works for the most part, but I keep my cam bolts pointed at the same marking on both sides cause the road crown differs with whatever road you’re on. Mine are both pointing to the second hash mark from center towards the back of the truck. But mine also has a 2 inch level on it, so you may find a different angle works better for you.

I’ve also heard that those markings are more for reference than anything else, and have been told that you shouldn’t use them to set your caster, I use them anyway, I like the way my truck steers and handles. Biggest thing is, if you change it and you start to hear your u-joints groaning then you’ve gone too far.

The truck drove fine and straight up to 75 mph, and like I said its within 1/4" side to side. I just know Thuren has it in bold letters to have these bolts within 1 click of eachother, and it's not.

Just wanted to let everyone know Thuren said it was fine leaving it, being that it is nearly level side to side and handles OK.

I have the Thuren 2 inch level on my 2019 Cummins. I took the advice of Cody from CJC Off-road and I drove the truck for a while to see how it rides. My toe was unchanged and all I did was adjust the steering wheel. Since my truck drove great I didn’t get alignment and I kept the factory d4a85b951cf2d2aaf822a1d91fabc706.jpg
caster settings. No complaints here and I have about 9500 trouble free miles so far. Tracks straight down the road with no unusual tire wear.

Yeah as long as she’s not leaning you’ll be good. Mine are not the same. If I make them the same I get 1-2” of lean lol. She handles fine and sits within 1-16th from side to side.
