I rolled under my truck for a minute looking for the source of an annoying rattle that occurs at startup, and around 1300-1500 RPM +/-. Only had a little time and I didn't have a helper to start the truck or get it to the right RPM, so I was poking around and banging/shaking trying to duplicate it. Found a heat shield near the trans pan that was suspicious, but that was not the problem. I did notice that the shell/cover on the knock sensor was really loose. Has anybody else noticed this? I may try to find a way to secure them to see if it is my rattle.

Spent another few minutes poking and prodding today. Found another heat shield back by the muffler that rattled pretty bad. Put a little tweak in that to give a little clearance. Got back up front to check out the knock sensor deal and found that the right side has a cover that snaps on, and the left side has none. Can someone confirm this is correct, or am I missing one? The one on the right was bent up, as though it got squished on installation. I removed it and re-configured it, and now it snaps properly onto the connector, and doesn't seem as loose and rattle prone as before.
