Hey folks,

I lifted my front end with Bils at 2.8 and the rear 1" with some spacers. I currently have 275/60R20 on the stock wheels on there now.

I would love to keep the stock wheels for now and just get a bigger tire, but the wheels are 20x8 so I can't go as big as 35x12.50R20... Which seem to be mainly mud tread anyway. I would rather have some all terrains for the noise and wear but not sure what would fit best side and width wise.

Any suggestions? Any pics? I've checked the Bilstein pic thread but figured I'd start my own question thread... Thanks!

Got it. Well my current is 275/60R20... So that doesn't seem much bigger? I would love upwards of a 35 but would also like it to be AT over MT... I'd also prefer more rubber(if that makes sense).

That tire sits about an inch taller than your current SR-A, and will look larger because of the aggressive tread. The 285/65 of that tire is 34.5" tall if that helps, but is a significant price jump.

That is an A/T .. It's their new style that came out about a year or two ago. They look a lot nicer than the last style. They look perfect with bils at 2.8 or 2.1, and even fit without any level at all, but look stuffed. You wont need any spacers, they look nice, and much more affordable than other awkward sizes.

275/65/20 is an OEM f-series tire size. Tons of options available and nicely priced because of that. measure about 34" tall. however, if your looking for something wider and you want to keep your stock wheels, 285/65/20 is an option as stated or 295/60/20 and 295/65/20. you said you wanted 35's. most 35's tend to have an actual height of 34.5". 295/60 will measure about 34" and 295/65 will measure close to a true 35". you may need a small spacer running 295's on stock wheels. i think a 34" tire looks better with only a level, but thats personal preference.

And last time I looked (about 1 year ago) the 295/60(65) were basically only nitto tires.. And stupid expensive.

And this may just be me... 35s don't look too stuffed with 2.8.. But they don't look great either. If I wasn't going any higher Id be running 275/65/20 all day! Wheel gap is not a bad thing, and those provide the perfect amount. Pair that with the look of the tire and it makes your truck appear taller. Just look at 6" lifts with 37s... They look like they just have a level kit, unless you see someone standing beside it, then you're like "oh".

nitto, toyo, cooper. price wise they are all relatively close enough that i wouldnt consider that a factor. were talking maybe a $25 difference per tire between brands/sizes. unless your comparing to 275/65/20. then the price difference is huge. you wont touch a 34" any cheaper then that. much like you cant find a cheaper 33" tire than 275/60/20.

I'll have the compare all of the options mentioned above when I sit down at a pc... I won't be lifting any further... I justified the current height to the lady as "the dealer found a TSB the caused the front end to sit lower than the rear, so they replaced the front shocks" lol

I've got the 35 Toyo AT's on my truck now with a similar setup, just no rear spacer. BUT I'm also running a -12 offset on my wheels too.

Lmao.. That's sad that some of you guys have to go through that.. I was there once, but the divorce opened up all kinds of things like new trucks, more time in the woods, more time on the water. Now I have a cool ass girlfriend who likes it when I do stuff to my truck ;), she even holds stuff for me if I need a helping hand.

Was a great story to tell though!

I'm thinking ***/65R20... I like the thickness of the tire/rubber to wheel... So 275/65r20 sounds like it would be the choice... What's the next step above that while still keeping some more tire?(assuming staying away from 60)

It doesn't exactly work like that (***/65)

The first 3 numbers (***) are the width.

The next two are the aspect ratio of the width. So 275/65... The 65 means that the height is 65% of the width.

A 295/65 will be wider and taller.

(Assuming 20" rims)

It's better to first determine the width... And then decide what height you'd be happy with. It's kinda like reading a book, it's left to right.

Makes sense. Well what width should I be aiming for if I want to keep my stock rims for now? The 275/65r20? Keeping in mind my lift settings.
