Makes sense. Well what width should I be aiming for if I want to keep my stock rims for now? The 275/65r20? Keeping in mind my lift settings.

Well you already know my opinion on this.. Others will chime in though, I'm sure.. There's probably 3-4 different safe (no rubbing) options... Or up to 12.50" wide with spacers (for some people)

I can only personally say, with experience, that a 275/65/20 will not rub and look plenty good.

Well most of the 12.50" tires won't fit on an 8" wheel regardless. What is the next one up from 275/65r20 while still keeping the height at least 65% of the width? 285?

Lol... Trust me I know.. But people put 35x12.50r20 tires on the same factory wheels you have, even though the tire isn't approved for it.

I still wouldn't do it... Not if the tire isn't rated for that wheel. Not with a brand new leased truck that I'm trying to take care of lol

I see a ton of 275/65r20 used on Craigslist... I'd do a used set for the first time to make sure I liked them, etc... And I know that would fit... But would 285/65r20 fit without an issue?

I have the the stock 20 by 9 inch rim and I was thinking of going 285/65R20 or 295/60R20. I was told the 295/60 would fit but I think the 285 would be a safer fit.

I'll either go 275/65R20 or 285/65R20 if they fit my lift

Expect to get spacers for those, just in case.

IMO

I want to avoid spacers also... don't want to mess with the tires center of gravity or the hub or anything or whatever terminology you want to call it... I don't want to add anything to the hub lol

You think that I'd for sure be looking at spacers with 295 or might be okay without?

Made me throw up a little in my mouth, reading that.

So BFG over Nitto for you? I don't have significantly negative experience with either...
