Hey guys,

So I got me a set of new tires and they are great, but for some reason, my dash keeps saying I have a low pressure in the right front tire regardless of how much pressure is actually in the tire. I set them all to 40 PSI today and that one tire is still showing 37PSI. Could the sensor have been damaged when they changed the tires? How can I check/test the tire's sensor? I don't even know where the actual sensors are for these.

-Thanks

Do what I did, move it from the front to the back.... if the problem follows, it's a bad sensor. Most tire shops have a scanner that will read the status of the sensor, maybe they can try and reset it.

Good info, where are they located exactly and how easy are they the remove, do they just unplug or unscrew or something?

They are inside the tire attached to the end of the valve stem. Just swap the wheel assembly front to back.

So, if i it all inside the tire, how does it send the sensor signal to the PCM? Is there some kind of short range wireless receiver near each wheel or something?

Here's a diagram of basically how it works.

Mine work for a while, then all the sudden 1 or 2 of them will error "--" out. It's kind of random, but seems like mine do it when I drive longer distances. The short trip to my work won't set them off, but driving across town will do it.
