hey guys, i just took off my stock goodyears p rated for a max of 44 psi, and i kept them at 39 like the door sticker says. I just got a set of 275/65/20 nitto terra grapplers in 10 ply rating. do you all run them at the same psi as the stockers, or bump it up a bit? anyone have this same setup?

this is on a 2017 1500 - everything else is stock.

looking at the toyo chart, it looks like i need approx 45 psi to get 2500 lb capacity per tire, which is just a little less than the stock 4 plies at 39 psi (2600 lbs). im assuming the tire doesnt gain any more capacity from 35 to 44 psi since the chart just ends. am I going about this right?

You'll need to pump them up to 55psi to match the placard rating (around 2600lbs at 39psi).
Same tire at 40 will exceed your truck GAWR front/rear or your GVWR at 2110lbs per tire. Up to you where to run them.

I have a set of Firestone Destination AT's in the LT275/65R20 size and I run them at 50 psi.

I don't even add more air when I am towing the travel trailer they handle it fine at that pressure.

i just completed the chalk test and it seems like 45 on the back is perfect and 52 on the front as well. thanks guys.

for the sake of consistency, all pressures are what is reported by the TPMS sensors, not what the air nozzle gauge im using at the moment says.
