Ok so ill start this off like everyone else does...

Yes i looked and found out quite a bit about tires this and rims that with a dash of some lifts here and there, but my question never really got answered.

Now that i got that out of the way here it is.

Ive got a stock 04 2500 HD with 17" alloys and 265s on it. Eventually ill be going to a 3" carli suspension with 35s and 4.56s in the rear, but right now i have none of them. The problem is i probably shouldnt go through the winter with the my H/T slicks ive got and i dont have the $$$ to do all the work now.

Should i go with 285/70/17s(33") or 285/75/17s(34"), either of which will be on stock rims and 3.73 rear

Some problems i dont want
-any kind of rubbing at any point (except full lock at full compression)
-killing the rear to the point where its a pig with a license plate
-having the tires look too small after the lift before the 35s so that i can get my moneys worth

These will be nitto terras so road noise and stability isnt much of a concern. Im just looking for some oppinions. Thanks

They should fit. Worst case scenario they'll rub at full lock but thats it. Then they should look alright with a lift.

My main concern is how bad itll kill the rear. 33" wouldnt be too bad but i think 34" is gonna be too much

Ive decided to stick with the 285/70 just so i dont shoot the rear in the face and have no rub problems at any point for now
