Not sure that I would go with E range, you can but that's typically reserved for 2500/3500s. It won't hurt anything, just not doing you any favors on ride quality. If its a pavement princess daily I might go C range, or if you do some towing and other truck stuff then D range.

I'm sure you'll get a thousand comments on best tire brand/model, I'm not going to touch that. Everyone has their own experience.

Choice of tire like choice of Oil and Filters, lmao.

OP, get the tire that fits your driving style and needs. AS rzr6 has said, not sure U need E rated tires, they are a lot heavier and not help mpg, more for heavy towing.
U can run with C or D if more just pavement and occasional towing. I run Falken Wildpeak AT3W on my RAM. These are C rated tires, and when I do tow, I am out in a wet field getting hay pulling a 2150 lb trailer before loading. This works for my needs. OP U gotta know what you use yer ride for and make an informed choice.

I recently installed defender 2 M&S E rated. Took a 1.5 mpg hit. No difference in ride quality that I can feel. Keep in mind I’m from jersey and our roads at never completely smooth.

I am looking for something that is good on wet pavement.
I have rcsb, do not care about longevity, I want something that might offer some traction in the rain.

I have COOPER AT3 4S and run them year round in Maine !
Been pretty happy with them but now discontinued !
I am going to try the FALKEN Rubitek AT tire a lighter version pf the Wildpeak!
My RAM is also a Pavement queen !

I’ve got terra grappler G2 .
They are about six years old and have lots of tread left, but it is impossible to give gas leaving a light .
Have to keep feathering it , even letting it start to roll , they just spin.
There’s a mud park not to far away , I may try unloading them there.
It is unnerving not having movement when the skinny is applied.

I'd try pirelli, you will not get a lot of mileage but they stick pretty good in the rain.

Got them on a Durango, about 30k in mileage, really good in the rain

Got specifics, I’ve been eyeing them , or the 420v nittos.
But looking for recommendations.
Thanks.

@Daw14

I'll let her sell you. I've driven these in lots of weather, loaded and unloaded, several long distance high speed treks, across Montana. They handle well, good wet traction, just don't last long.

I can’t tell you what will work well, because I haven’t found it yet. But I can tell you that neither Goodyear wranglers or Michelin defender ltx m/s2 are great on wet traction. The Michelins were better, and I generally found them to be a good all-rounder long lasting tire but the wet traction was the one thing I wished was better.

Numerous times I’ve been maxed out at 60-65mph to keep good control, and seen trucks passing me going 80 without issue.

ms2, I just replaced my first set with 75000 on them. This new set should get me another 80000 miles

take a look at Continental terrain contact H/T. I found them to be excellent in the rainy wet roads.
