So I got my 285/70/17's on and I'm a little worried about tire rub. I still have all stock suspension so no level or lift yet. I have only had them on since yesterday so I may just be hearing things but I was wondering if there was rubbing occurring, where would the tire be rubbing at and would I be able to tell when the truck is sitting still and I just turn the wheels the full range and see if they are touching anything or does it take me actually moving to get it to rub? Again, I don't have any evidence that it's rubbing, I just want to be sure and would like to know where to check.

I installed a set of aggressive 285/70/17's on stock wheels and suspension on my 2013 and never had a single issue.

I have the same size tires on my truck and get a little rubbing at full lock, but only to the right. Most likely alignment. Check the sway bar. That's where it will rub.

I believe I found out what the "noise" was. I had the wife turn the wheels full turn both ways while I looked under and I don't see how the tires could have touched the swaybar or anything else so I ruled that out. I think what the noise was is the little flap where you get access to the headlights on the passenger side, I lost the plastic plug thingy so it's been hanging down since after I put in my headlights. I can see it's been rubbing on the tire since the end of it is wore away just a little bit. I rigged up a zip tie in there to close it up and it should be fine now. I haven't heard anything else except for that since then.

On the driver side rear of the well there is a little bump in the wheel well plastic. It is protecting some wiring on the other side. Wheels will rub there sometimes at full left. Not an issue as there is a ton of play in the plastic.
