Previously I decided to put some custom rims on my 2018 2500. I am attaching photo. Currently I have 35's and they need to be replaced. Not sure why my wife was so against it but she hated the custom rims from Day 1 and then hated things even worse after I leveled the front with a Thuren kit. It wouldn't be so bad but she has to drive the truck 2 or 3 days every couple weeks so I then get to hear it all over again and again!! I'm sure the guys reading might have some occaisional similar experiences - lol.
Fast forward - tires need replaced soon. And my main gripe is that I am only getting 11 to 12 mpg with my 45 min daily highway commute AND thesee HD trucks are greeat but they will beat you to death as far as ride quality.
Any opinions on possibly downsizing to a 33 and maybe a more AT tire?? You think the 33s will look terrible with the current setup??

Those 35’s look correct for the amount of lift, ride height, fender clearance.
What tire brand etc are you running now and whats your wheel size?

The more sidewall the better ride for absorbing small stuff on the road such as expansion cracks. I wouldn’t go any smaller then a 35” tire on a 20” wheel personally, if you want to see significant gains in mpg you’d probably better go back to stock wheels.

Might also consider lowering your tire pressure when unloaded
