Since I went up to 275/60 I want to get my computer re-programmed correctly. Has anyone got the dealer to do this for free? If not what do they charge you?

Not much of a difference:

I went up considerably on my GMC.........and I used a "mph" app on my iPhone to see the difference and it was only like 2-3mph off ....but only once I got up to like 65 mph. And now that I look at Scott's chart...........yep, that's about what I saw.

Up to you though!!! I live in a military town and nearly every 3 seconds, you see a big lifted truck (soldiers)........and when I talk to them or even talk to the place that did my last truck.............no one is recalibrating their speedo. Plus....some guys experiment with different size tires, etc .........so they just leave it as is. I got used to just going 2 mph less when on the interstate and going 70+

good luck

I know the difference isn't much, I just want my truck to be accurate. It also leads to MPGs being off as well as MPH. I didn't spend 50k to half-ass things lol.

I think you'll see a greater difference with a 275/65, that will make it worth re-calibrating.

Think I'll follow your route on going to a 60 tire.
Haven't been by my dealer to find out any costs for that yet.
The 55's IMO look too small.

Where in Tampa are you? I may just come by to give it a try. Does it work on the '18s?

Oh nice - I work right off veterans and memorial. Shoot me a PM if you want to try this out and what day/time would work for you.

My dealer claims they can't calibrate for bigger tires. Hypertech has a programmer out for the 2019s already that will work to recalibrate the speedometer. Its $200. I put 34s on my 2019 so I was thinking about doing it in the future but I'm not too worried about it at the moment.
