Ive had a JL Stealth Box in my 2014 ram quad cab for about a year now. I never did drill through the floor and bolt it in. My question to other owners is this, is there any difference in sound/bass quality/clarity bolted vs. unbolted?

I didn't bolt it in, and it sounds fine.

I paid a JL Audio "authorized" dealer and installer to install my stealthbox and they bolted it in. It sounds great, but I'm sure it sounds fine not bolted too.

I'm sure gravity does it's job just fine. I would imagine bolting it in is for two things. 1. Safety if you flip or get in a crazy wreck, and more realistically 2. Theft.
