I currently have a Flow Master 30 series on my truck, gives a nice rumble on start up and acceleration. I have toyed around with the idea of removing my resonators but haven't pulled the trigger. What are pros/cons of removing them. Is it a noticeable sound gain without them on? I have a local shop that will remove them and weld in new piping for 70 bucks which sounds reasonable.

What you'll probably get is a very noticeable drone without the resonators on.

$70 bucks is a good price for what they will be doing if you decide to go forward with the reso delete.

Drone at cruising speed? Worth the small investment? Better rumble on acceleration?

Huge drone at cruising, anywhere between 1500 to 1800 RPM. I got more noise during acceleration and idle and cruising but the drone was a killer at highway speeds.

I hated the drone. It got so bad that one day I got out of the cab and swore at the truck. Wasn't the truck's fault but I felt better. Then I drove to my local exhaust shop and had some small can resos installed. Those definitely helped with the drone and didn't screw up the sound too badly. It still sounded good.

What about deleting the resonators and having it replaced with a jpipe or 1/4 branch resonator
