Wondering if there are any big advantages to the tri-fold vs. the roll-up model?
Yeah, takes about 1 minute to unclip both sides, and fold it twice. A minute might be 40 sec too long too. Very easy and secure. I wouldn't have anything else.

Thanks so much for all the info and help. Ended up ordering the Tyger tri-fold. Just seems to be what I need right now at the right price. Plus, your glowing reviews make it a no-brainer.

I'm late, but probably have had more tonneaus than most here, and after having the range of brands I only recommend Agri-Cover. They make the LoMax, which is on my 5th Gen, and Access, which is on my 4th Gen. LoMax is the hard tri-fold and Access is a roll up cover. My 4th Gen is a long bed dually and I roll the cover perfectly fine myself from one side of the bed all the time.

Also, the industry has consolidated and there may be lots of brand names but there are only a handful of makers! Most mentioned here are Truck Hero brands.

Trifold, soft, hard, roll up?

I used to use Extang Trifectas, but this truck I did the Tyger, much cheaper, but works fantastic.
I'd like to find a hard cover that locks, and actually fits the 2008 1500 small box. Anyone used a Peragon hard cover before?

I had an Extang Solid Fold on an older truck that I had. It wasn't bad, so I ordered the new version for my 2016 Ram Crew Cab. I cannot believe how badly it fits! Says it is "model specific" but it sticks way to far out on the corners, and does not seem to be sealed well. Gonna have to send it back.
https://www.oedro.com/oedro-tri-fol...03-2018-dodge-ram-2500-3500-fleetside-6-5-bed I have one from them and so do 3 of my friends they work great and have a great warrantie as long as you put it on right
So, what covers have you guys used that looked like they were actually made to fit your truck? Thanks.

I wouldn’t put any other cover on my Ram besides Mopar brand I just truly believe you get what you pay for

While I totally agree with that, most of the accessories like this are made by aftermarket companies, and re-branded for Ram, Ford, etc. Many times, the branded item is more expensive than the regular brand, and is of the same quality. When it comes to stuff like tonneaus, it seems like the folks around here have tried them all. I spent the farm on the Extang, and it fit horribly. From the pictures and testimonials, it seems that these Tyger covers are a much better fit at a vastly cheaper price. I don't mind going a bit cheaper on something like this, as it's not a safety thing, like tires.

I got the Extang Exceed on my 2014 Crew Cab. Took a bit to get it set properly but I love the look. Also the end flips up and has rods to hold it giving full bed access.

Well, since I have different uses, went with the Mopar Full Fiberglass Cover, painted specific to truck color. A lil expensive, but fits great, waterproof, and works for me: Sorry, do not have good pics yet, and the cover is a lil dirty now, get better pics when cleaned up.IMG_0862.JPG IMG_0840.JPG

I use the RAM foldable lockable hard Tonneau cover. It keeps the bed dry even durring down pores. It fits perfectly.
