want a tonneau cover for my truck. Want a roll up soft cover with velcro not the snaps. Do not want a tri fold. What are some of the opinions on some decent less inexpensive ones. I do like the lo pro from truxedo but i dont like the price.

Not necessarily low cost, but I really like my Truxedo Pro X15. It has a low profile, doesn't flap around too much, and keeps almost all water out, and it's not made of vinyl. Had a cheaper version on my older truck (can't remember the brand) and can really tell the difference stepping up to the Pro X15. Just works better.

Angry elephant.
On amazon for $126.25 for the 5.8’ non ram box bed.

I do get a slight bit of dust and moisture around the tailgate just because I haven’t taken the time to seal the tailgate. Otherwise it has been weather tight.

I did have one issue with the included hardware. It came with plastic nuts for the bed rail clamps. It was cold when I installed it, and I managed to crack a couple of the plastic nuts, and had to replace them with metal. Had it been warmer out, I think the plastic ones would have installed fine.

Well, like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I have the lo pro and I have 0 complaints. Don't buy the Extang Revolution. Its not long enough to cover the bed properly. After going to the factory in Ann Arbor and two of their engineers telling me that's how it should fit I sent it back. It barely reached the inside of the front of the bed and the edge of the tailgate. The over the rail ones look funny to me now, I like the looks of the lo pro much better. I see cheap ones go by flapping on the sides because the Velcro won't hold or gets worn out. The lo pro is strong and if it did wear out the part on the rail is made to be changed and slides in a track to compensate for expansion and contraction due to temperature. When its rolled up and strapped down it doesn't touch the paint either.

Check your local FB Marketplace or CL. I too was on a budget. I bought my 1 yr-old Truxedo Lo Pro for $100. It was dirty, but once cleaned and protected, it looks new.

What area you located in? I just removed my Lund soft rollup. It is the premium cover that has the convertible top fabric. I removed to upgrade to a retractable.

I also just bought the lo pro from truxedo for the price it looks good and comes with a lifetime warranty. So I imagine if the velcro goes bad they’ll replace it.

I have a Literider made by access. Love it. 0 issues and price was decent. Had same one on my 08. Definitely my 1st choice.
