Thinking about trading my old diesel 88 2wd Ford for a 99 1500. 5.2, 46re trans, 4x4, dual exhaust, AEM intake, new brakes, fluids, etc, 6" lift (3" body, 3" susp), custom paint. 130k. is that too much? He says its running strong. Is that a durable eng/trans? Thanks.

Welcome to RF!

Sounds like you're trading your workhorse in for a show pony. Is that your intent? Cuz that Dodge isn't ever gonna do what the diesel can.

To answer your specific question, yes.... If this truck has recieved maintenance equal to the suspension and paint mods it has. If it did not...its a pig with a dress.

Things at 130 k if not done proabably will be....in no paticular order....

Timing chain, tranny, Ball joints, track bar and steering, shocks, hub bearings and a lot of minor things that may or may not be needed. I only list these items since you didn't.
