i have read that the R/T's come with a 2600 stall converter, is this correct? i had planned on getting the edge 2800 stall but if my R/T has a 2600 i will just spend my money elsware

Forgive my ignorance, but what do you gain from a higher stall? What does it do for you?
Puts the engine closer to it's peak power range before locking up. Allows for higher RPM launches.

before locking up, what does this mean in the grand scheme of things. Sorry for the dumb question but hey![]()
There is a huge difference between a stock RT 2600 stall converter and an Edge 2600 stall converter. There is so much more to what makes a good converter than the stall speed that it is set at. 2800 is actually mild for an RT that I assume you aren't towing with or taking off road. If this is a street/strip truck, then I would be looking at a 3000/3200 stall converter.
