the movie is called band of bothers, you should watch it. silver trucks unite... lol

Its not about color... In theory he has the advantage. Weight wise you have a slight advantage but even with the larger tires and being 4wd you still are running the stock 3.92's, 20" rims and the stock crap converter vs his 4.56's, 4wd launch and performance converter. He also has a meaner cam and proper/more aggressive tune now so hate to say it but I think after this install AF will take it.

I wanna go for my fellow silver truck member but the numbers are stacked against you.... Time to order up more mods

I'm going to say that Aaron will win the race. He has too many mods for nick to overcome. The 456's should just about cancel out the disadvantage of the bigger tires. So then you have nick's lighter weight vs aaron's longer mod list. I think the mods will overcome the weight advantage and give the win to Aaron.

I think the winner will be the one that gets off the line better. They both could easily spin off the line, so I think the start is the key. If they both get off the line clean, then I think AF will take SB, at least on the street. If it is a full 1/4 mi pass, then SB might run AF down at the line, it would be close.

Yeah but AF can do a 4wd launch so less likely to spin while SB cant and if he's not use to the extra hp/tq is more likely to smoke his tires before moving an inch.

Not what I meant.... The cam and headers are gonna add alot more hp/tq than reducing the TM is going to.

AF the shift kit will take 15 mins if that to do. For some reason my H2 Kit was missing the washer for the 1st or 2nd OD I think so we just put in a small washer like depected.

Install is finished. Putting it all back together went very smooth. No extra connectors, and best of all, no extra bolts!! It looks like i never touched it :) oh yeah... minus the airbag that exploded from the rear end sagging -- forgot to support the rear axle while it was on the lift... oh well.

Now for the results.... WOW!!!!! its been a long time since my neck has snapped that hard on a launch. I cut 7 tenths off my last 0-60 time (6.87 before, 6.14 tonight). The temperature was about the same both times, but its raining today, so im hoping to get under 6 in dry conditions. I'll get pics up of the Aeroforce later tonight. As for the shifts, there isnt a noticeable change in easy driving, but at WOT its a very noticeable change. The 1-2 is really crisp and fast, and the 2-3 isnt slugglish anymore.

Its hard to say which has been my favorite mod so far, the gears, cam, or this. Its a toss up, but i have to say (like you all said before) it was WELL worth the headaches on the install. And best of all, I can say i did it all by myself (literally...stupid friends ditchin me)

Congrats! glad you got it in there. i forgot to shoot you my cell # on AIM the other night incase you needed to call for any advice (that offer is open to anybody doing a TC install btw)

yeah, my tut is very basic. i am 2wd, and since i have a 2500 my exhaust is routed differently, and the cross members are a little different. oh yeah, and my lack of torsion bars.

but really guys who have done this....... a lot of electrical connectors?!?! seriously? theres like 5. and you can easily just slap some masking tape on each one and mark with a sharpie. c'mon its not THAT bad. haha just messing with yous.

lastly, i dont know if they have them at the hobby shop at your base, but i always use the drive on lifts when doing any work not related to the suspension. i REALLY like those lifts. think that blown airbag might get covered under warranty?

That is an awesome improvement Aaron. Amazing how much the stock converter was holding back your truck. Glad to hear you got it all back together without any major problems (other than the airbag).

its not the airbag thats blown, its the *** plastic washer on top that holds it on. obviously a plastic washer cant support the weight of an entire rear end, so it popped off after about 5 hrs. The explosion came from the immediate release of pressure. So i'll just order a new washer and air valve and call it good.

John, yeah the connectors werent a big deal. I was already frustrated and didnt know how many there were, so it was really annoying everytime i tried to lower it down more, another connector would get snagged. This aint an easy job by yourself --- wayyyyyyyy more difficult than the cam install (physically speaking)
