In my fuse box for the trailer running lights, is a 20 amp fuse. The only issue is its a mini fuse, not nearly as big as the box fuses carried by autozone.
Mine burnt out and I can't find them for my 2013 4.7 Ram anywhere, not autozone, not O'Reilly ' s, bumper to bumper.
Any suggestions where I can get these (without being scalped by the dealer?)

Most new cars have those mini blade fuses. Some are even smaller than that. I can't believe none of the parts stores have them.

Gotcha. Those are still pretty common though.

Believe they are called cartridge fuses. Think those ones are mini cartridge fuses.

i blew 2 of them and was only able to find them at NAPA or the dealer. i'd highly suggest trying to get a pack of them or even a mixed pack with a few of each since they are pretty hard to find

A unconventional place to get them might be at uhaul. They tend to carry all fuses and stuff so when they hook a trailer up and a fuse is bad they can fix it.

That is a dealer only fuse right now. The dealer prices aren't actually outrageous so I bought 10-15 when I blew the trailer light fuse.

Was finally able to drop into the dealership. Pick up two of them for $8. Ridiculous how much they cost but I have to have them.

I don't know how your fuse blew, But if the lights were ON in my wifes 05 Durango it would blow every time I plugged in a trailer. Lights OFF, no problem. She always had the lights on auto.

I used my cousins trailer a while back and his wiring is usually... questionable.
My parain's trailers are wired properly and they've not given me trouble.

When the lights are on, the plug will arc (ever so slightly) and draw in a big inrush current. That will blow fuses with trailers with a lot of lights. Not usually a problem with LED lights or only a few lights. Some fuses also have a slower burn time so they can handle that inrush.

I would always keep an extra fuse because all it takes is one pinched wire for it to ground to the trailer and burn the fuse. It wouldn't be that big of an issue if they were an easy to find fuse.
