Tow mirror question

So my girlfriend ordered me a pair of tow mirrors, now the first set came in with one being scratched and both as well being dis colored. Emailed company and got a other set sent and just like the other another scratch and discolor. Now the mirrors are obviously black but this discolor is a darker black that is very noticeable. I am OCD to crap like that so we are returning and buying somewhere else. I just want to ask those of you that have Tow mirrors do you have any discoloring? I want to make sure I'm just not being crazy about this and will be getting this regardless were I get them from.

I have ordered mirrors from two separate vendors, and have not noticed discoloring. If you don't mind me asking where did you order the original towing mirrors from?

I have used 1A Auto, and a Dodge Dealership through eBay for my 05 1500.

Are they aftermarket, or oem? They're more expensive, but the oem ones are definitely higher quality.

I didn't get any discolored areas on my tow mirrors I ordered from 1A Auto.

I got pretty lucky when I picked up my tow mirrors. Through a craigslist ad I found some new take-offs that had been sitting on a shelf for a couple years. Pristine condition and $100 for the pair! I called him within 5 minutes of the ad going up and he had 3 people call him in the 5 minutes we were on the phone lol
